MobilePDQ software for Windows Mobile 2003 or 2005 intuitive design
enables sales people to create orders for future
delivery as well as invoices. This is known as "hybrid"
route sales. The orders may be scheduled for
delivery by the current route or may be designated for
delivery by a different route. The orders are "uploaded"
to the Handheld Management System (HMS) and "downloaded"
to the desired route for delivery and completion. This
process may be automated in HMS to reduce error. A
customer may have an assigned default delivery route.
Invoices that are not
delivered on the designated day are identified in the
HMS middleware. The salesperson may change the delivery
date to keep the invoice available for delivery or use
the non-serviced customer routine to delete the invoice.
Voided invoices become
orders. This provides a simple method for correcting an
order and then transforming the order into an invoice.
